Before making an appointment with Pierce County Public Health, please reach out to your doctor to see if they are able to vaccinate you.

For people 65+ to schedule a vaccine appoint:

Pierce County Public Health makes new vaccine appointments available every Monday morning at 8:30am.  You will need to provide your name, address & DOB.  They go very fast so be ready to enter your name, address and DOB right away.  The best strategy is to take an appointment later in the day so you have time to enter you’re the necessary information, because what oftentimes happens is while people are entering their name, address and DOB somebody else has selected the same time slot and has entered their own information but was simply faster and got the appointment instead.  Later in the day appointments, are easier to get.  The point is, if one appointment slot if full – keep trying.  If you don’t get in one week, try again the next week.  Always try at 8:30am on Mondays. Public Health has typically been getting about 300 doses each week.  Pierce County Public Health vaccine clinics are being held at the Pierce County Fairgrounds in the Seyforth Building. Freeman Drug makes new vaccine appointments available every Monday morning at 9:00am.  You will need your name, address and DOB.  You should follow the same strategy as noted above. Freeman has typically been getting about 250 doses each week.  Freeman is providing vaccinations to their patients and specifically want their patient to be vaccinated by them.   Freeman Drug vaccine clinics are being held at the UWRF campus in the  Hagestad Building. Family Fresh is a vaccinator, but they currently do not have any vaccine.  Typically have been getting about 50 doses each week.

Allina in River Falls is a vaccinator, but they are focusing on their patients.

The National Guard will be assisting with vaccinating clinics, but they will not be a vaccinator.  This is because there are not enough qualified guards to be vaccinators.
