Several radio and television stations mostly from the Twin
Cities area, along with Cable TV, serve the area. Regional
newspapers include the St. Paul Pioneer Press, Star Tribune, which
are delivered daily. The Prescott
Journal covers local news. Other area papers are Pierce County
Herald, River Falls Journal, Red Wing Republican Eagle (MN), and
the Hastings Star Gazette (MN).

Location
Prescott is located in Western Wisconsin's Pierce County at the
confluence of the Mississippi and St. Croix River. Prescott and
Pierce County are located in the South Eastern Portion of the
Minneapolis/St. Paul Metropolitan Statistical Area.

Medical Facilities
Hospital Service and 24-hour emergency medical services are
provided at the newly expanded Regina Medical Hospital in Hastings,
MN (6 miles) and at the River Falls Area Hospital (12 miles). The
City of Prescott's ambulance service provides emergency medical
services as well.

population is estimated to be 4,048 as of January 1, 2010.
