Prescott Municipal Court represents the judicial branch of
government and handles all citations issued by the Prescott Police
Department for traffic and non-traffic ordinance violations. The
primary function of the Prescott Municipal Court is to administer
justice and hold individuals accountable for their actions when
found guilty.
The City of Prescott is served by a municipal court that
adjudicates all municipal ordinance actions. The actions taken are
related to:
- Traffic Laws
- Building Code
- Animal related violations
- Adopting State Statutes relating to behavior, alcohol and other
aspects of the law.
The Municipal Court Judge is Judge
Patrick Eich and the Court Clerk is Melissa Swanson. The
Judge is an elected position with a four-year term. The judge does
not keep regular office hours. However, the Municipal Court Clerk
is available from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Tuesday and
Wednesday.
