The Prescott Area Fire and Ambulance Association was formed by the City of Prescott, Town of Oak Grove and Town of Clifton in 2005.

The board of directors is made up of 7 members (three from the City of Prescott, two from the Township of Oak Grove, and two from the Township of Clifton).

The primary goal of the board is the smooth operation of the Fire and EMS Depts. The Board over sees the bills and payables, any large purchases like trucks, yearly budget, and the hiring, firing and discipline of the volunteers and Fire Chief.

The board meets once a month to review and make suggestions, recommendations, and rulings on how the two emergency service operations are currently operated.
